  1. What is the Unlimited Social Data Pack?

    The Unlimited Social Data Pack gives you unlimited use (150 MB at full speed, thereafter reduced to 256 Kbps) of the most popular social networking apps on your smartphone and data devices. The apps are: Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, and LinkedIn.

    Pay As You Go® customers can get the Unlimited Social Data Daily Pack for only AED 2 a day.

    Monthly plan customers can get the Unlimited Social Data Monthly Pack for only AED 40 a month.

  2. Who can take advantage of the Unlimited Social Data Pack?

    Any monthly plan or Pay As You Go® new or existing mobile customer can subscribe to the Unlimited Social Data Pack. You’ll need a smartphone or data device (such as a tablet) that supports these apps in order to use the pack.

    The Unlimited Social Data Pack cannot be used on BlackBerry® devices running on BlackBerry® OS 7.0 or lower and will not be available for these devices.  For these devices, we recommend you choose our BlackBerry® Social Pack.

  3. What are the benefits of the Unlimited Social Data Pack?

    Stay connected to family and friends all the time, without having to worry about your data use. Anytime you use Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp or LinkedIn, you won’t need to worry about how much you’ll be billed how much Pay As You Go® credit you’ll use. 

  4.  What is Balance Shock Protection?

    Balance Shock Protection is a new feature we’ve introduced to the Unlimited Social Data Pack, which makes sure you only pay for what you use. If you don’t have any data packs apart from the Unlimited Social Data Pack, you won’t be able to browse outside the social apps, so you know your prepaid balance will not be uses on unwanted mobile data use, which often happens if you’ve got apps open in the background on your smartphones or tablet. As long as you have the Unlimited Social Data Pack, your balance will always be protected.

    Note: During the grace period of the Unlimited Social Data Pack renewal, ‘Balance Shock Protection/No pack no browsing’ will still apply.
    If you deactivate the Unlimited Social Data Pack, then the ‘Balance Shock Protection/No pack no browsing’ will end immediately.

  5. How much is the Unlimited Social Data Pack?

    Pay As You Go®
    The pack will cost AED 2 per day.  This will be a daily recurring fee, meaning everyday AED 2 will be deducted from your More Time balance, for as long as you’re using the service.

    Monthly plans

    The monthly recurring charge for this service is 40 AED.  This will be charged on your bill every month.  If you activate the service within a bill cycle, you’ll get the unlimited use and your monthly fee will be prorated for the first bill cycle of use.

  6. I have a BlackBerry® device that runs on BlackBerry® OS 7.0 or lower. Can I get this pack?
    No.  We’d recommend you choose our BlackBerry® Social Package, designed for your BlackBerry® device running Blackberry OS 7.0 or lower.  It’s available for both postpaid and Pay As You Go® customers.

  7.  How do I activate the Unlimited Social Data Pack?

    Simply SMS ‘social’ to 1355 to activate.

    Alternatively, for prepaid customers, dial *135*55# and follow the instructions to activate.

  8.  I have an existing data pack on my smartphone/device; can I still activate the Unlimited Social Pack?

    Yes, you can still activate the Unlimited Social Pack even if you already have an existing data pack.  If you do, all use of Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and LinkedIn will be unlimited as long as you have the pack.  All other data usage will be taken from your existing data pack.

  9. Is this really an Unlimited Social Data Pack?

    Yes, this is an unlimited service giving 150 MB at full speed, thereafter reduced to 256 Kbps. You can use Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp or LinkedIn on your smartphone or device without any worry about how much data you’re using. You can use as much as you like.

    However, the download of the social applications and their updates are not part of the Unlimited Social Data Pack. You will need to have a data pack to be able to download the social applications and their updates to your smartphone or data device.
  10.  Can I share pictures or videos with the apps WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn using the Unlimited Social Data Pack?

    Yes. You can share pictures and videos on WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn using the Unlimited Social Pack. 

    The use is unlimited and there will be no data cap on the use.

  11. A friend sent me a video on WhatsApp, can I view the video without being charged for mobile data use?

    Yes, you can view the video and you won’t be charged for any mobile data use.

  12. I want to click the link to a video that a friend posted on Facebook; will I be charged for mobile data if I view the webpage?

    The Unlimited Social Data Pack allows unlimited use of Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter and Linkedin.  Browsing websites, pictures, or videos outside of these social applications will not be allowed. To be able to browse outside the social applications, you need to subscribe to a data pack.  To subscribe to a data pack, SMS data help to 1355.
  13. I currently have the Blackberry National Unlimited pack, what happens when I try to activate the Unlimited Social Data Pack?

    You’ll be asked to confirm if you want to change packs. If you confirm to activate the Unlimited Social Data Pack, you’ll lose the Blackberry National Unlimited pack and you’ll not be able to activate it again.
  14. I don’t want to use the pack anymore, how do I cancel it?

    Pay As You Go®

    To cancel, SMS ‘stop social’ to 1355.

    Monthly plan

    To cancel, SMS ‘stop social’ to 1355.

    The service will be deactivated from the next bill cycle and onwards.

  15. I failed to make my bill payments and now my services have been suspended, can I still use my Unlimited Social Data Pack?

    If you are suspended because of non-payment of bills your Unlimited Social Data Pack will also be suspended.  Once you clear the amount due and are reconnected, you can continue using the Unlimited Social Data Pack.
  16. I’m a Pay As You Go® customer, how do I renew my Unlimited Social Data Pack?

    You don’t need to do anything to renew your Unlimited Social Data Pack.  All you need is at least AED 2 in your More Time balance every day and the pack will be automatically renewed.

    We’ll send you an SMS confirming the renewal of the Unlimited Social Data Pack.

    If you don’t have AED 2 in your More Time balance, you’ll be given three days to recharge, then the service will be automatically renewed after you recharge.
